Changes I'm looking forward to bringing to Bell County!
Part of the Tax Assessor-Collector’s duties is to promote education on the responsibilities of the position. When voters aren’t aware of what their elected officials are meant to do, they become less engaged with how their community operates.
As your Tax Assessor-Collector, my goal is to hold monthly forums in collaboration with the Tax Advisory Board to help educate the public on the resources available to our communities, what my position’s duties are, and how these things might affect them. These events will be publicly available, and made accessible to the public.
It should never be hard to do the right thing. Voting is an essential part of healthy government, and we should encourage everyone in our community to be a part of the process. One roadblock to voting is voter registration.
As your Tax Assessor-Collector, my goal is to collaborate with Bell County Elections to encourage more participation in local government by making voter registration more accessible to all, with working towards the possibility of combining vehicle and voter registration.
